Brought Together a Coalition of 37 Partner Companies and Organizations to Advocate for Spectrum Sharing Rules

Along with 5Gfor12GHz founding partners, Rational 360 set up and launched a coalition of public interest groups, trade organizations, broadband providers, and equipment manufacturers, reaching 32 members within two months following launch. Rational 360 developed a full-scale communications plan for 5Gfor12GHz, positioning the coalition as a thoughtful and authoritative voice on the need to modernize spectrum sharing rules and accelerate 5G deployment through the opening of the 12GHz spectrum band. In addition to developing the coalition’s website and social media presence, Rational 360 actively manages the coalition’s activities, hosting weekly member calls, engaging with third-party organizations, and supporting the efforts of coalition members.

Precision Advertising Campaign to Elevate Content for Key D.C. Policymakers and Influencers

Rational 360 supports the coalition’s public affairs efforts through a targeted digital advertising campaign to reach key policymakers and influencers in Washington, D.C. Digital ads amplified native content from the coalition and its members, including op-eds, fact sheets, regulatory comments, and other filings. Rational 360 identified the key influencers in telecommunications policy, including the FCC, media, administration officials, and select Congressional committees, and delivered ads directly to their devices.

Launched a Washington-Based Earned Media Campaign with Placements in National and Trade Publications

Rational 360 has worked with the 5Gfor12GHz coalition and its members to draft, pitch, and place op-eds highlighting the importance of opening up the 12GHz spectrum band for 5G deployment. Rational 360 regularly engages national and trade publication reporters in the telecommunications and broadband space and arranges media opportunities for coalition leadership and members, including multiple in-person media events and interviews in key media outlets.
