Steve Kidera

Senior Vice President, Technology   


Steve Kidera has spent more than 20 years at the intersection of tech policy, federal and state advocacy, public affairs, corporate communications, and journalism. For most of his career, Kidera has worked on behalf of innovative technology companies, both large and small, on successful and impactful cross-platform communication campaigns focused on a wide range of tech policy issues, from data privacy and antitrust to immigration and artificial intelligence (AI).

Kidera has extensive knowledge of the technology industry. Prior to joining Rational 360, he led communications for TechNet, a leading technology trade association. Kidera developed and executed the association’s communications and award-winning digital strategies at the federal and state levels and worked with more than 90 member companies, policymakers, and the media to significantly grow the association’s profile across the country. At TechNet, he oversaw the launch of AI for America, an initiative to educate the public about how AI is being used to improve lives and grow our economy, and the United for Privacy campaign, a unified, cross-industry voice underscoring the need to pass a federal data privacy law. 

Kidera joined TechNet after leading CompTIA’s policy communications and public affairs team in Washington, D.C. He’s also worked for the Consumer Technology Association where he held several roles promoting innovation and advancing key tech priorities. He also served as a spokesman for the International CES.

Kidera has also worked in corporate communications for a Fortune 500 media company, journalism, where he was an award-winning local television news producer, and minor league baseball. He is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
