Rational 360 Announces Steve Kidera as Senior Vice President, Technology

Washington, DC (October 10, 2024) – Rational 360, a leading full-service strategic communications and digital advocacy company, announced today that Steve Kidera will be joining as Senior Vice President, Technology. In this role, Kidera will support the continued growth of Rational 360’s technology practice. Additionally, he will lead the firm’s efforts to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into every day work and improve services for clients.

Kidera has extensive experience in communications and advocacy for the technology sector. Prior to joining Rational 360, he led communications for TechNet, a leading technology trade association. Kidera developed and executed award-winning communications and digital campaigns at the federal and state levels and worked with more than 90 member companies, policymakers, and the media to significantly grow the association’s profile across the country. At TechNet, he oversaw the development and launch of AI for America, an initiative to educate the public about how AI is being used to improve lives, grow our economy, and keep us safe. AI for America, which was exclusively announced on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” combined coalition building, advocacy, digital and television advertising, social media storytelling, and events featuring key administration officials, members of Congress, and tech industry leaders to showcase how AI benefits society and our economy. Kidera also led many other public affairs campaigns for TechNet focused on data privacy, high-skilled immigration, and other priorities of the tech industry.

Kidera joined TechNet after serving as Senior Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) where he led strategic communications and outreach for the association’s federal, state, and international advocacy efforts. Kidera also spent several years working for the Consumer Technology Association, where he held various roles promoting the tech industry, including as the spokesman for the International Consumer Electrics Show.

In addition to his experience in technology, Kidera has served in corporate communications roles at Gannett and TEGNA, was an award-winning local television news producer, and worked in minor league baseball. He is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
