Rational Adds Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Leader Maggie Allard as Senior Vice President

Allard brings more than a decade of experience advising corporations, trade associations, coalitions, and advocacy organizations on high-profile communications, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement efforts, with deep expertise across the energy and agriculture sectors. Allard’s hire is the latest in a series of senior additions as the company builds on 60% year-over-year growth in 2025 and targets $70 million in revenue in 2026.
In her new role, Allard will help expand the growing energy and agriculture practice of Rational, while supporting the company’s broader strategic communications and public affairs capabilities. She will advise clients navigating complex policy, regulatory, reputational, and stakeholder engagement challenges, drawing on extensive experience developing integrated campaigns that align public affairs strategy with business and communications objectives.

Allard most recently served as Senior Vice President and lead of the Energy & Agriculture Practice at Adfero, where she oversaw integrated strategic communications and public affairs campaigns across earned, paid, and owned media. In that role, she advised executive leadership teams and led campaigns focused on stakeholder engagement, executive visibility, reputation management, advocacy, and media relations for clients across the utility, transmission, renewable fuels, agribusiness, and broader energy sectors.
Throughout her career, Allard has guided organizations through high-profile policy, regulatory, and business challenges at both the state and federal levels. Her work has included communications strategies related to grid reliability, infrastructure, renewable fuels, biofuels, trade, sustainability, and issues impacting agriculture and agribusiness. Known for combining strategic storytelling with audience insights, she has helped clients develop narratives and engagement strategies that resonate with policymakers, media, industry stakeholders, and the public.
