Duncan Barron is an experienced public service and strategic communications professional with a proven track record of using the written word as a tool to achieve change.
Born just outside of Lexington, Duncan graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. While pursing his studies, he served the staff of the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission, and spent a summer working in Congress assisting the office of House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn. Developing a background in electoral politics, Duncan served as an organizer on the Amy McGrath for Congress campaign in 2018 and would go on to serve McGrath’s team again in 2020 as the campaign’s Newspaper Outreach Associate – overseeing the editorial component of McGrath’s Senate run. Before coming to D.C. to pursue his Masters at the George Washington University, Duncan spent time as an aide to the Judge/Executive of Woodford County, Kentucky and remains passionate about government-based solutions at all levels. In his free time, Duncan enjoys reading, collecting records, and appreciates a good podcast recommendation.
