DC Influencers posted more frequently in the first month of the new year than they did in December, with conversation volume jumping by 50 percent. This spike was driven in large part by the Inauguration and votes in Congress to begin the process of repealing the Affordable Care Act. President Trump’s Twitter account was the most mentioned account by Influencers, and the second most mentioned account was the @POTUS account, which was used by former President Obama until the Inauguration, and then transitioned to President Trump. @POTUS mentions doubled after the Inauguration when the handle transitioned from former President Obama to President Trump.
