Rational 360 worked with the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR) to advocate for increased access to innovative hepatitis C treatments for patients enrolled in Medicaid and commercial plans. Rational 360 worked with NVHR and the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation of Harvard Law School (CHLPI) to rollout Hepatitis C: State of Medicaid Access, the first-ever comprehensive assessment of state Medicaid programs’ discriminatory restrictions on curative treatments for hepatitis C.

Rational 360 worked with the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR) to advocate for increased access to innovative hepatitis C treatments for patients enrolled in Medicaid and commercial plans. Rational 360 worked with NVHR and the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation of Harvard Law School (CHLPI) to rollout Hepatitis C: State of Medicaid Access, the first-ever comprehensive assessment of state Medicaid programs’ discriminatory restrictions on curative treatments for hepatitis C.

  • Report Design and Website: Rational 360 designed the detailed report with report individual cards for each state, as well as the interactive StateofHepC.org website.
  • Earned Media Coverage: Rational 360 spearheaded a media and public affairs rollout of the project, securing coverage from NPR, the Boston Globe, Politico, the Los Angeles Times and more.
  • Opinion Placement: Rational 360 supported NVHR and CHLPI in writing and placing a long-form Reuters opinion piece about the project’s findings. The piece called on Medicaid programs to broaden treatment access.
  • Event-Specific Earned Media: Rational 360 generated significant media coverage when NVHR and CHLPI announced preliminary findings at the AASLD Liver Meeting® in Boston in November 2016. Rational 360 developed a suite of presentation materials to frame the issue at the 2016 and 2017 Liver Meeting ®.
