Ariel Kastner has worked at the intersection of policy, communications, and strategy for over a decade, designing public affairs campaigns and helping stakeholders craft written materials that drive public policy outcomes. He is called upon by leadership of Fortune 500 companies, trade groups, and nonprofits to author internal and external content, and his work has appeared in national and international outlets.
Prior to joining Rational 360, Kastner worked at the Brookings Institution, managing the Middle East center’s publications unit. He edited and authored policy memos, op-eds, and speeches, and provided communications counsel to former policymakers, intelligence directors, and security officials. He helped manage Track II dialogues as well as global forums, and formulated after-action outreach materials for these events.
A native New Yorker, Kastner began his career with the New York State Democratic Committee, worked on city and state political campaigns, and later served as a researcher and strategist in Washington for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
Kastner holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester.
